Reply with quote | #3 | Does the Delorian count as Retro?
I do have a special place in my heart for the old Volkxwagon Bug and bus though, either of those would be cool to own IMO

Hehe .. .nice I wish him best of luck. This is a very fun and challenging hobby - but very rewarding in the end.
Here is a picture of my driver car: http://img145.imageshack.us/my.php?image=53524443.jpg
The one i'm working on... will have some period-style modifications : dual carburettor and 1500cc instead of 1200 cc engine (rear seats and other unnecessary weights will be dropped off , and so on ) . I am doing al the work as I have learned to weld, do mechanics and so on. http://img145.imageshack.us/my.php?image=aaa1b.jpg __________________ Retro lover from Romania. |

Reply with quote | #6 | As we speak, my boy is watching "Beetle Crisis, Season 2" from Discovery Europe. It really is a fascinating show.
My first car was a '74 Super Beetle in orange. Lasted me from spring 1986 to fall 1987 when it burned to the frame. Made an impression on me... like remembering the perfume of your first girlfriend.
I'd love to have pre-67 model, with one of those 2.2 liter engines making 300hp.
But after the Bug, I got into Audis... and the only real retro Audi I'd want is a Sport Quattro.

But don't get me started. I can go all night about old crappy cars.

Passing M3 boys with an old Datsun.... that's satisfaction. |

Reply with quote | #11 | My uncle had an orange one, I wish he would have kept it longer -_-
I missed out on a thing and two mid 80's rabbits because my relatives didn't know that I wanted them.
